"Felt very slow the first half. I started behind Mark Rolincik, then went past him after 5 or 6 laps; by myself 'til around 12 or 13 laps, then Mike Flynn (Woburn) and O'Brien (Reading) lapped me. I hung onto O'Brien for 3/4 of a mile 'til the last 2 or 3 laps."
